Why French Parents Are Superior by Pamela... →
Interesting, even if 75% of the article is pointless and not necessary for the point. But I worry as the advice is from the basis of how to make things better for the parent, not what’s best for the kid, even if a well behaved child is a well behaved adult.

Spokeo is just plain Spooky http://www.spokeo.com/
I suggest everyone go to the site, search for their name and then submit their URL to be removed. I’m not one to live in a tin-foil hat, but this isn’t cool.
And they’d better hope they never expand in to Japan because they will go straight to jail. I don’t even live in the US and they’re collecting information on...

Japan falls further behind on the ES Cell research that was first started and discovered here. I saw a program on the TV the other day about the difference in the quality and level of the research facilities in the states vs. Japan. They said that researching the US was fun, and researching in Japan was depressing and accordingly the US will get the best research teams and the best funding. I...

Interesting read. I never really thought of the effects of such a consumer cultural divide, but the content wealthy people consume differs dramatically from that of middle class people which reduces the chances that people will marry across classes and thus the divide compounds.

How to delete SoftBank Wifi?
Does anyone know how to delete the SoftBank wifi settings from my iPhone? I downloaded the profile a while ago when they sent me a text again reminding me and frankly I’ve never, not once, found it helpful. At best I can be indifferent about it but most of the time it’s annoying and harmful.
The root of the issue is the SoftBank network is shit, and their excuse is Docomo is abusing...

I was at the airport, ready to leave for vacation when I got a panicked phone call from a client. She stated that the video I sent her - part of a large marketing campaign - was missing the sound. After a lot of shouting and threats on her part, I agreed to go to her office try and fix it.
After being escorted into her office, I played the video and double-checked her...

Read the second half. This is exactly why a mandate for health insurance must exist. But in order for people to go for it, premiums will have to go down from day one. Look at Japan; national insurance is too much here and it has to be made cheaper without just letting more people die.

Bwahahah!
Spies attached to his response letter a print-out of news stories from January 1997, many of which widely reported the $300,000 payment by Gingrich as a “fine,” although usually in headlines. He also attached a print-out of a dictionary definition of the word “fine” and an assessment by PolitiFact, the fact-checking organization, concluding that Gingrich’s...

Me: I still haven’t received payment for X
Client: Ah yes, there’s a very good reason for that. The invoice number was 666.
Me: And?
Client: And I’m not associating with the devil in any way.
Me: What if I send you another invoice?
Client: Nice try, but you’ve already made the mistake. Just try and sue me, I have religious rights.

Very interesting on the whole (see previous comment). I would like to see a “fact-check” style document on the results of this polling as they just reflect opinions. Let’s see (where applicable) of the facts match what people are thinking.
